Berlin-Kreuzberg is Nora’s microcosm. Nora is always just tagging along. At parties, at school and at the pool. She drifts around the monotonous housing blocks with her sister and her sister’s friends, observing those around her. Her world is full of girls who want to be slim and pretty and boys who say dumb things just to provoke others. When she meets Romy, Nora is shaken out of her observer’s stance. Seen through Nora’s eyes, this film is a beautiful coming-of-age story about a summer of change.
