Just when Lola, an 18-year-old trans woman, learns that she has finally been approved for a long-awaited surgery, her mother, who is her only financial support, passes away. Abiding by her mother’s last wishes, Lola and her father, who do not get along and have not seen each other for two years, undertake a journey all the way to the Belgian coast. After spending several days together they realize that the outcome of the journey may not be what they were expecting.
