A tale of immigration, pop and queer club culture, MIX COPENHAGEN’s 2020 opening film is a charming, observant, impressive first feature.Parvis, a young gay man of Iranian descent, is sentenced to community service at a refugee detention centre, where he meets the siblings Amon and Banafshe. As the romantic attraction between Parvis and Amon grows, the trio’s dynamic is put to a test. This is a summer of fleeting youth and first love, as well as the stark realisation that, in Germany, they are not equal.
