TW:

In this wonderfully observant slice-of-life portrait of post-Soviet Kazakhstan, Aliya has just won the Green Card Lottery that enables her to immigrate to the United States. The futility of living somewhere with little opportunity to build the life she desires, compounded with her complex responsibilities makes it difficult to find a way to tell them all she’s leaving it behind.
